This Dental Practice:

The Practice is owned by the "Wairoa Charitable Health Trust" set up by the Wairoa Primary Health Care Organisation for the benefit of the population in the Wairoa district. The Locke Street premises are temporary while a brand new larger modern facility is to be constructed. A proposed clinic next to the Wairoa College in Black Street is not going to happen. This new clinic was also to house the School Dental Therapists and other youth health services.

This Practice still must run as a private practice. Unlike medicine, there are no subsidies for adult dental health. Any profits will be used to enhance dental health services and remove barriers to access.

This "Wairoa Charitable Health Trust"owned Dental Service is unique in New Zealand and would not have been possible without the forward thinking of the Wairoa PHO board.

 

Opening Hours:

The Practice is open from 8.30am until 5.00pm 5 days a week.

Initial Examinations are FREE.

This surgery carries out a full range of general dental services:

1. Fillings both silver and white fillings.
2. Crown and bridge work.
3. Dentures both Plastic and Metal framed Dentures,
4. Denture repairs and Relines.
5. Extractions.
6. Minor oral surgery including the removal of impacted Wisdom teeth.
7. Cosmetic Dentistry including veineers and bleaching of teeth.
8. Orthodontic (Visiting Orthodontist)
9. Periodontal surgery
10. Endodontics, root canal therapy and Apicectomies.
